The Institute for Jazz and Folk Music at the Lucerne School of Music offers bachelor's and master's degrees, performance opportunities and much more. It is characterized by the combination of a large stylistic range with the highest quality standards. Networked nationally and internationally, cooperations with various Swiss jazz festivals and other renowned institutions are maintained.

The campus's own event locations (the “Knox” club, the “Kosmos” black box and the “Salquin” concert hall) serve as a platform for musical creativity in the institute's surroundings.
